Windows 7 RC on Vmware Player 2

Vmware Playerの上にWindows 7 RCをインストール。主要な以下の項目をvmxファイルに設定することで問題なくできた。ethernet0.virtualDevを設定しないと、ネットワークアダプタのドライバがインストールされず、ネットに繋がらなかったのは困ったけど。

Ubuntu On Dell PowerEdge T100

PowerEdge T100を購入。早速Ubuntu8.04を入れたる。まったく問題なくインストール完了。Pentium　2000系のCPUなのだけど、反応からしたら同じDELLの9200C（Vista）より軽い感じる。メモリを1Gから2Gに上げればもっと軽くなるかしら。

軽いわ、これ。ThinkPad i1200でも楽々。mplayerもサクッと入ったし。
それにしても、いろいろ入れてるなあ。

Windows フォトギャラリーが黄色い

Windows フォトギャラリーで表示されるデジカメ写真の黄色いので困っていたら、どうも色の管理がおかしかったらしい。以下の方法で修正。

１．コントロールパネル-->色の管理。
２．色の管理の「デバイス」で使用している「ディスプレイ」をプルダウンから選択。
３．「このデバイスに自分の設定を使用する」のチェックにON。
４．「このデバイスに関連するプロファイル」から全て削除。
５．色の管理を閉じる。

で、再起動したら、綺麗な色になった。

Avira Antivir インストール

１．Avira AntiVirのLinux版をダウンロード。
２．以下のコマンドで展開。

　　tar zxvf AntiVirのtar.gz

３．展開したフォルダへ移動して、以下のコマンドを実行。

　　 ./install

※install スクリプトの中のwhichを/usr/bin/whichに変更しておく。

４．以下インストール途中の応答。

　　Do you agree to the license terms? [n]y
　　（ライセンスに同意するか？）

　　Enter the path to your key file: [hbedv.key]
　　（キーファイルの指定はそのままEnter）

　　Would you like to install the internet update daemon? [n]y
　　（アップデートするdaemonをインストール？）

　　（AntiVirのupdaterのリンクを/usr/sbinに作成する？）

「antivir -z -s --allfiles」で圧縮ファイル、サブディレクトリ、全ファイルをスキャン。

VineLinux 4.2 インストール

Ubuntu 7.10を8.04 にアップグレードしたら、解像度が800×600より大きくならなかったので、VineLinux4.2にスイッチ。

(1)リポジトリ設定の変更
　Synapticパッケージマネージャで、以下のリポジトリのセクション設定に「extras」を追加。

　rpm http://updates.vinelinux.org/apt/
　rpm-src http://updates.vinelinux.org/apt/

(2)mplayerのインストール

　self-build-setupをapt-get installした後、以下のパッケージをインストール。

self-build-ffmpeg
self-build-ffmpeg-mh
self-build-mplayer

(3)mplayerで拡張子asxファイルの再生
　asxファイルをダウンロードして、以下のコマンドで再生。

　gmplayer -playlist　asxファイル名

　※新しいWindows Media Playerのファイルはだめらしい。

(4)無線LANの設定
　・wpa_supplicant、wpa_supplicant-gui、madwifiパッケージをインストール
・/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.confを以下のように編集

　　ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
　　ctrl_interface_group=wheel

　　network={
      ssid="ESSID"
      key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
      proto=WPA
      pairwise=CCMP TKIP
      group=CCMP TKIP
      psk=暗号化パスフレーズ
　　}

　　暗号化パスフレーズは以下のコマンドで作成する。

　　wpa_passphrase ESSID

・/etc/sysconfig/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.confを以下のように編集

IO DATA WN-AG/CBの利用

BUFFALO WZR2-G300Nへの接続。

無線LAN用のドライバ「madwifi」は既にインストールされていたので、
「madwifi-tools」を追加でインストール。

システム管理のネットワークで無線LANの設定（パスワードの種類はWPA Personal）を
行った後、/etc/network/interface を以下のように修正。

iface ath0 inet dhcp
wpa-psk （ネットワークで設定した暗号化キー）
wpa-key-mgmt WPA-PSK
wpa-proto WPA
wpa-ssid （ネットワークで設定したESSID)
wireless-channel 1

設定後ファイルをクローズして、ネットワークを再起動。

sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

以上で接続完了。

Yahoo! ツールバー

Yahoo!Jananのツールバーをインストールしたが、コンテンツが取得中で止まってしまうのでYahoo.comのツールバーをインストール。

JapanはLinuxに対応していないのもあるが。

Java Plug-inセットアップ

以下の手順でセットアップ

cd <home>.firefox/plugins
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so

cd /usr/lib/firefox
sudo cp -r extensions extensions.backup

cd /usr/lib/firefox/extensions
sudo unzip /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun/jre/lib/deploy/ffjcext.zip

ブラウザ再起動

位置バーに about:plugins を入力して Java Plugin がロードされたことを確認。

「ツール」-->「JavaConsole」でJavaコンソールが起動することを確認。
